Drannor Silverleaf
I groaned as I woke up. How long had past? I looked down and sighed as I saw the stump that was my right wrist. I knew that would have happened, there was no chance they would have been able to do anything else. Though... My arm seemed a lot shorter than it had been.
I reached over with the other hand, feeling down to where the sump end was. I’d lost up to my elbow!
What the hell!
I sighed though, and looked around. Where was Sahar? She should be here!
So where on earth was she?

She saw him wince and shift and quickly moved into his sight, smiling kindly. With a gentle, cool hand she pushed his hair out of his eyes and kissed his nose. "Hey honey..are you okay?" she asked quietly, taking hold of his one good hand. It had been a few hours since he had had the op, but the stupid nurses wouldn't let her into the room...then she flashed the doctors ID badge and they let her in. That had been barely 20mins ago.

Drannor Silverleaf “If my head wasn’t half asleep with the amount of drugs you all put in me I’d say I was fine. That gets a little aggravating for me. It’s annoying not being able to think clearly like this.” I smiled at her though; I knew she would have been worried about me. That would have been only normal for her. “I didn’t think it would be so much taken off.” I looked down at my other arm as the meaning of my words. “That’s a bit of a shock for me. No doubt someone will be along to see me from the base.”

She shook her head sadly, she had known; she was a doctor after all. Squeasing her hand lightly, she looked up as the door opened, admiting someone in Army cloth. "General Morris," he said, offering a hand to Sahar and looking down at Drannor with a grim expression. "How are you feeling? Your lads keep wanting to know," he added with a booming chuckle. Morris was well liked by all those at the base camp. "I am Sahar," she said quietly, shaking the hand firmly yet gently. He seemed suprised by the firm grip.

Drannor My eyes twinkled though when the other general appeared in the room. How expected that was. “I knew you would be coming sooner or later.” I paused. “I’m fine, I’m recovering already. I should be out of here in no time.” I grinned at him, though not without a bit of effort. “Enough about me though. How’s Auraka doing? I have the feeling that his girlfriends probably worried sick about him as would be the others.”
I chuckled though.

The general mopped his head with a tissue, falling to sit across from him and smiled slightly. "He has just woken from the coma...week and a half in there, some speaking issues but he is doing fine, eager to get back on his feet," he chuckled, looking at the arm of Drannor. "But, my friend, we are going to have some trouble getting you back onto the field, I'm afraid," he said quietly.

Drannor
“I know that, though I thought as much. I feel practically useless with only one hand especially since that hand happens to be useless when it comes to doing things.” I sighed. “Though I may know that, I don’t know what to do personally.” I doubted there was much I could do any more. There was nothing lazy about me what so ever. He knew I was a fighter, not someone who sat around behind a desk all day. The idea was an insult to me to be honest. That was not the job I wanted at all.

General Morris nodded, sighing. "It seems we have our two best fighters in beds at the moment," he said, chuckling as if to lighten the mood. He stood, resting a hand on his good shoulder and sighed. "I must be going, but I'll see what I can do for you," he said, patting the shoulder and left. Sahar rested her head on his shoulder, sighing deeply and opened her mouth and quickly closed it again. "Drannor.." she said but froze. Not yet.

Drannor Silverleaf I smiled at him. “Thanks.” I knew that there was a lot to be done at the moment; it was bad timing that Auraka and I both were out of action at the moment. Usually we filled in for each other so this really was bad timing. I sighed. There was too much in my mind and I did not even notice when Sahar spoke. I wanted to go and say hello to Drannor. But I doubted there was a chance I was going anywhere at the moment. He’d be busy enough anyways.

She almost sighed with relief as he didn't ask her, but part of her ached for him to notice her difference. "Are you okay? Strong enough to walk to the car?" she asked after a bit, knowing he would want to get him. A nurse popped her head in, staring at the stump of an arm and glared at Sahar as she spoke of such things before leaving once more. Returning with a doctor is tow. "Drannor," he greeted him and looked at the neat wound himself "hmm I'm afraid you might have to stay overnight."

Drannor I sighed. More bad luck came my way. Always. “Is it alright if I go say hello to one of my friends? They’re somewhere in here. Auraka Lamya?” I wanted to see how he was going. Plus I wanted to thank Gem for telling Sahar what had happened to me personally. She had no idea how thankful I was. I knew that Sahar was hiding something but I did not want to press her while I was not thinking straight.

The doctor looked at Drannor, thinking before sighing deeply. "If you must..." he said finally "but only for a few moments, also you must take a wheelchair for you will be out of balance for a while," Sahar smiled lightly, glad the doctor was at least letting him do that.

Drannor You don’t say, I thought. I did just lose half an arm after all. Not that I regretted it. That much as certain. Once he’d left though I looked at Sahar. “You know I’m lucky to be alive at the moment.” I would tell her everything but only if she asked. It was something I was still getting used to the fact that I was this lucky.

She blinked and sighed, resting her head against his chest. "I know.." she whispered. The doctors had left as had the nurse, they could go see Auraka soon but she wanted to speak to him first. "Drannor...I have something to tell you," she whispered, interlocking her fingers in his. She wasn't sure yet, but she hoped he could help her decide.

Drannor I sighed, thinking about what had gone on over the last week. There was so much and she really did not know how many times I was nearly killed out there in that other country. What we had been doing though was the right thing, there was no doubt about that.
When she said she had something to tell me though, I looked up at her. What did she want to tell me and was now really the right time? I could see the indecision on her face and knew there was some thing she was unsure of.
"What is it?"
