Carlisle Cullen I smiled at her. "Do you mind?" I asked, knowing that I'd have to touch her to check if it was just a bruise or not. I knew what to look for, and though I was able to tell that she was definately being careful with that side, I could not touch her without her consent.
Else what I had to do would be classed as assult and though the family had plenty of money, I did not want to cause trouble seeing as I was well respected at the moment in the community.

She nodded shyly, red hair falling around her face as she looked at the doctor, something between intrest and trust in her soft eyes. Her side hurt, but she had had worse, though she allowed the doctor to continue with his poking and proding. Though she was suprised, he actually seemed to care. She wanted to speak to Jasper, wanted to explain and be understood. But how?

Carlisle Cullen "I imagine I'm not like most of the doctor's you've met am I? Though I;ve had this job for almost twenty years, I still care about those I happen to tend to somewhere along the time," I said. My hands were gentle, it would not take me too lone to figure out what was wrong and i did not like causing anyone any pain. I remembered the worst thing I had had to do and that was amputating one of the soldier's lower arms. I moved away for a moment, and smiled. "It's only bruised, I can find nothing else wrong."

She nodded in understand, using her skinny hand to brush the hair from her eyes. That's what she had said, and she knew it to be true. "Just a little," she murmered and went to stand beside Jasper, somewhat hiding behind him. "Thank you," she murmered, remembering her manners and looked at Jasper, unsure what she was going to do now. She couldn't stay here, she barely knew the man.

Jasper Cullen I smiled at my father thanking him with my eyes. "Why dont you stay with us for a few days while that heals? I would not want you hurting yoursef anymore than you already seem to," my father said. I chuckled, one hand squeezing hers reassuringly. I knew she was safe here, even from that jerk who tried to kill her.
There was no chance that I would let the guy touch her again, and I knew that my younger brothers would be the same about that. None of us could stand other guys who did this sort of thing.

Casey shook her head slightly. "Oh I couldn't," she said "I have..." she paused, remembering that she actually had no place to go. Unless she wanted to return to her ex boyfriend. She felt the light pressure on her hand, and smiled slightly to Jasper. "I wouldn't want to intrude.." she finished

Carlisle I knew that my son did not want her heading out of here for some reason while she was still hurt. "It would not be a burden at all on us, having you staying here for a while, Casey. We're used having various people in the house who are not family, all the time. It would be no trouble at all."
There was no way she would be heading out there. I knew why she had paused, wasn't exactly hard to figure that one out.

She opened her mouth to protest, but closed it to instead smile weakly. "Thank you...you are to kind," she murmered, squeasing Jasper's hand in thanks. It was clear where his kindness came from.
She waited, wondering what would happene next in this already long and eventful day.

Jasper Cullen "I'll see you at dinner, father." he nodded. Then I looked at her, smiling. "Did you want to meet my dogs? I've got quite a few of them." I smiled as I thought of the five dogs I owned. "All of us have our own animals somewhere in this estate." I smiled as I thought of the five wonderful Dobermann's that I owned. "I have to go feed them in a few minutes anyway." I led her out of my father's office.

She nodded slowly, following him at a slow pace so not to hurt her bruised ribs. "What type are they?" she asked shyly, trying to stay beside him but his legs were a lot longer than hers. She loved animals, but had never had a pet before.
"Are you sure you don'tmind me staying?" she asked as they walked "I'm going to pay my way...somehow..." she said

Jasper Cullen I chuckled. "I have five Doberman Pinshers. Two are female, the others are male. They're breeding dogs and I have made a bit of a business selling the puppies. Molly and Mickey are one pair, their siblings with the same parents. They have a chocker chain collar around their necks. Molly's slightly lighter on the brown on her nose." I paused. "There is another with a think chain for a collar, old Max. He's the eldest of the pack of them. An old brown boy." Again I paused. "Jack and Jenny are the other two. Again they are siblings. They have grey leather collars. Jenny's a brown dog, like Molly." I smiled as we rounded the corner of the house. There was a metal fenced yard with a steel electronic door. Big old Max was standing there, barking. "Quiet Max!" I called and he fell silent as we approached. "Wait here for a minute. I'll bring them out one by one." Casey nodded slightly, watching the large dogs with some interest. She gestured to one of the dogs, Jenny she matched the description to the dog. "Jenny has a limp," she said quietly, noticing the limp as the dog paced and she slowly approached the kennel. Not wanting to startle the animal, she lowered herself to her knees on the other side of the fence. "Hello pretty," she said patting the dogs head softly though the fence and looked closer at the foot. "It looks a little swollen," she said standing and moving back to stand beside him, a blush in her cheeks.

Jasper Cullen "Hmm." I sighed and then said, "Sit!" All of them did inside the enclosed, their eyes locked on Casey. "You know how wolves have a pack hierachy? Well I have the same system here. I'm the Alpha, and Max is the second in command. Not that he has to deal with them much."
I pressed a button and the metal door opened. I slipped in to the smaller encovered area and called," Max!" The big old male came running over to me, ignoring Casey for the moment. I clipped a lead onto the big dogs collar and knowing that Casey could not see me in here, slipped on a set of rubber overalls hanging up. Then I brought him out. "Max was a police dog. Thought I would show you some of his tricks. Though first I have the feeling its a good idea that he smells you."
I walked over with him, keeping a strong hold on the dogs short leash. The dog snorted and I raised one arm. Up he stood, paws resting there as he sniffed at her.
"Down!"
he dropped to the ground easily. I moved back several meters. His eyes did not waver from me right now. I chuckled and then said, "Bring me down Max!"
The dog snarled once at me, then leapt, sinking his teeth into the rubber on my arm. I did not even wince, as I was unable to feel it.

She smiled, letting the dog sniff her as she stood still, watching as Maz dropped to his stomach and watched Jasper with unwavering eyes before launching himself at him. Her jaw dropped and she barely held in the scream.
She stood stock still, eyes popping from her head as she stared at him. "What the hell was that?" she yelled.,

Jasper I laughed. Max had his heels dug into the ground and I could not move. "Don't worry I'm not hurt. This rubbers three inches thick. You can check later." My legs crumpled as my own will gave out and I fell tot he ground. Max did not let go. I then looked at Max and with some effort, shook my arm. He let go and sat obediently. "Good boy Max!" I said, bounding to my feet once more. He barked once. "He cant hurt me what so ever. I would rather it were me that I showed you with, not you yourself. This rubber may be thick, but I also have very strong bones. You would not be able to take his weight." Max stayed where he was before I walked about ten meters away, to stand next to her. "Come!" he walked straight to me, no eyes for her. I smiled rubbed his neck. "My dogs wont hurt me. Nor will they hurt you when they know you." As if to prove this, Max licked her hand. I then took him back into the pen, where he moved to sit with the others. I stopped in the pen this time though, leaving the rubber suit behind in the covered area. I moved over to Jenny, checking her leg. She whined and I sighed. There was a nasty looking cut there. "Come on pretty girl," I said, lifting her up into my arms and walking out of the area with her. I put her down close to Casey, she looked up for a moment and then sniffed at her. I squatted down, my body inbetween her and Casey, as I ran my hands over her leg. "She's pulled a muscle."
