Casey. Jane.
She dipped her head and sighed. "Yeah....I've had worse," she muttered, holding onto the rail down the stairs. It wasn't broken, she knew that much. She was suprised. He actually cared? It had to be an act, making her fall in love with him before hurting her some more.
Maybe she had to get out of here? But her head was already shaking in repy. No. No she couldn't leave...not yet. She would though, in soon times. She had a life...not really but she couldn't stay here.

jasper Cullen I knew that at the moment she did not quite trust me but I knew that was normal. I was practically still a stranger to her. "Dont worry you'll be fine with him." I turned towards one of the doors that was on the landing we came to. The house was three stories tall. "This is where his study is." I smiled. "Come on in, Jasper. I knew you'd be coming this way once again." The door opened to reveal a blond haired man like me, not as strong as I was, but with a very kind face.

Casey. Jane.
She felt bad for not trusting him, but what could a girl do? To many things could go wrong.. A smile crept onto her face as she saw the doctor. He had a kind smile and features and seemed a lot like his son and daughter. "Hello," she said shyly, standing slightly behind Jasper and watched his movements carefully.

Jasper Cullen My father frowned at me as he took in the black eye I had. "Been in another fight, Jasper?" he asked, not unkindly. "What happened this time.
I looked at Casey. I could only tell him what i knew. "I was at the beach and well I saw Casey here go for a swim while i was walking. She didn't come up so I went in and got her out of the water."
I paused. "We talked for a little while until someone rather unfriendly turned up to try and hurt her. I got in the way and stopped him, really. Was not the easiest thing to do, though the guy seemed to have no brains."

She blushed and dropped her head. "It was my ex-boyfriend...he..well...I kind of ran away from him and he went to jail for a few years," she said sadly and sighed. She was embarrsed by her past and didn't like telling it to complete strangers. She was also embarresed for being saved...well saved from herself at least. "He stopped him from...well trying to kill me," she said shyly.

Jasper "You're lucky you ran into my son then. There is no chance that any of my three boys would have let anyone hurt any girl. Its not something any of us could ever simply walk past without getting involved," Carlisle said.
His eyes moved towards her and I could tell he was looking for anything that was wrong with her. "Though i can tell that you did not quite get away from that incident unscathed, did you, Casey?"
I smiled at my dad. He was definately quick to be able to tell if someone was hurt in any way.

She shook her head. "No, but I have had worse...I don't think its broken..." she said quietly, surprised that he had been able to tell without even touching her. She nodded her head to Jasper though and sighed "He got it a lot worse than I."
It was true, the black eye and what other punchs he had been hit with would of left a mark.

Jasper Cullen I chuckled. "Trust me this will be gone in a few days. I heal quickly, though it seems wierd to say it out loud.
"I miss little, dear. After having this job for almost twenty six years you can tell when someone is hiding some sort of injury no matter how hard they try," my father added, smiling.

Casey. Jane.
She smiled shyly, shifting from foot to foot. They were all so nice....they seemed to like her, a stranger and let her into there house with open arms. She barely knew Jasper.
Once more she shrugged her narrow shoulders, the dress seemed to show off how skinny she really was. The bones were clear though her skin, pointing out of her collarbone and showing in the neck of the dress. She looked like a skelliton...the only part of her that seemed alive was her eyes. The green blue orbs shone brightly, myterious and wondering.

Jasper Cullen I was a little taken aback by how skinny this girl really was. Obviously what I'd seen at the beach was not as much as she really was. I was a little shocked by what she was really like.
"Come here," my father said. "Let me take a look at you." There was nothing but an easy calm and gentleness to his words. He'd seen a lot worse that whatever was wrong with her clearly.
Hell some day I planned to be like him, but not till university was over. Then I would start a job at the hospital.

Casey. Jane.
Her eyes shot over to Jasper, nervousness and fear shone clearly in her bright orbs. Her whole body shook lightly but with steps, she moved towards Jaspers father. What was wrong? She was fine...there was nothing wrong with her. Nothing at all. "I'm fine..." she protested weakly

Jasper Cullen "Don't be afraid, Casey. no one here will hurt you, you know that. None of us would ever hurt a friend of one of the other members of the family." I smiled encouragingly at her.
"Come in here, Casey," Carlisle said, smiling at her. I knew that he would look after her, no matter what had happened to her. He was certainly the most well liked doctor at the hospital as well.
"I doubt there is nothing wrong with you, Casey. You're too skinny for your age, not that I'm trying to be rude about it," Carlisle added.

An eyebrow rose, looking at him, questioning him. She was to skinny? Ha! That was not something she heard often. Actually, she could never remember a time when someone had said that to her. Despite her thoughts, her body moved another step closer to Carlise against her will. She shrugged her shoulders, bones sticking out even more, and moved to stand in front of him. "I'm fine," she said again and she didn't know her voice. It was weak, like a kitten's plea.

Carlisle Cullen I sighed. Why was it every girl I ended up with when I was doing my job said almost the same thing or a variation of it? It was slightly annoying for me, to know they were wrong. I shut the door behind her.
"Other than the fact you're a lot skinnier than most of the people I know, I can tell from the way your standing that you eiteher have a broken rib or a bruised one."

Casey. Jane.
She sighed once more eyes fleeting, despite her self, back to Jasper before standing directly in front of Carlisle. "Brusied...I think..." she muttered wincing slightly as she shifted her wait; a nervous habit.
Her dark grey-green eyes showed no fear, only confusion. Since when had people cared about her? The little woman child. No one had ever cared...not even her parents..
