He chuckled, watching his two girls run around each other. The giggles of delight could bring a smile to everyones face. "Now Lily," he said, bending down to one knee and meeting Lily's gaze "Whats the number one rule on making pancakes?" The little girl paused, thinking so hard that her face crinkled slightly before breaking into a grin. "Wash our hands?" she asked and Kayson nodded, proud "Yay! Mooma I got it right!" she giggled.

Alexa Collins I smiled as my daughter squealed again. She was so loud sometimes, but we were getting used to it. I knew that my daughter would be annoying the neighbours but we would not be here for all that much longer. "Good girl," I murmured, kissing her cheek. "But you need to remeber that we have neighbours sleeping on the other side of that wall." She quietened down a bit, knowing what I meant by that. I'd told her that we needed to stay quiet in here at this time of the morning. She was a good girl. As soon as I mentioned the neighbours she always quietened down.

He chuckled, pulling out the needed ingredients and spoke to Alexa without turning. "A question," he said quietly "when we move to the new house..though once its all cleaned up...what do you think about chickens?" he asked. It was an odd question, but he didn't mind. "Veggie garden...that whole area...what do you think?" he asked her, looking over his shoulder as he put Lily's step in place so she could watch.

Alexa Collins I smiled at him. That would be a lovely idea. "I like the idea. Be good to grow our own stuff. Though not on such a huge scales as the old owners did." I was going to enjoy this place a lot. There were so many things I would be able to do once we were living there. So many things that I had never really gotten to do as a kid. "We're definately going to have some fun fixing that house up and the surrounding lands as well." I chuckled. "Those fences will all need checking when we get there. I dont think any of them were in any good condition." Then again that was something I knew we would end up doing any way. "I already have a lot of ideas for that old barn."

He poured the flour into the bowl, with Lily's help of course, and looked up at Alexa. "Of course," he chuckled, eyes wrinkling as he laughed lightly. "We should sit down and talk about that all soon...Sara and Lily can help with the painting," he thought aloud and Lily nodded in agreement. "The paddocks will need to be checked as well...don't need Prince, Justin or Idi getting sick," he mused.

Alexa Collins I chuckled at that. "Nope, I don't want to see any of them get hurt. Plus they may not be the only horses we end up with in the long run." I knew what I was planning on doing later in my life but not yet.
No, while Prince was still as young as he was I planned on not stopping with competing any time soon. We really were going to get as good as possible as we could ever be. There was no point in ending his career or mine any time soon.
"One day though, the competition side to me will stop."

The head flopped with a nod and he smiled lightly, remembering his next suprise for her. Though, she would have to wait slightly longer.. "Yes, I am thinking about breeding Idi soon..." he said thinking aloud, wondering of the foal Prince and Idi might have...maybe he would find another stud all together...but he really was the best there. He flipped the pancakes, making sure they were all cooked and Lily ran the plate to put it on the table. "Ready!" she yelled, grabbing one and trying to swallow it whole.

Alexa Collins I chuckled. "Only you know what to do when it comes to her. I know the types of horses i intend to put him to eventually." I remembered the times when Prince had not been mine. Stirling had been the horses name, and I had been the one who'd trained him from when he was a yearling.
I sighed and managed to stop Lily from choking. "Wait a minute, Lily." I managed to cut it up into a lot of smaller pieces. "Now you can have it." I smiled at her though. "You would not have been able to eat it at the size it was.
"Sorry Mooma."

He chuckled, ruffling the girls head and grabbin one for himself. Nodding at Alexa, he stood back and leaned against the kitchen table. "Yes..." he said, smiling slightly to himself. "When was the last time you bred Prince?" he asked, thinking. Idi would be in heat soon, hopefully by the time they got back from China.

Alexa Collins I thought for a moment on the question he had asked. I had to think for a bit as I was not sure when it had been. Then I smiled at him. "About three months ago. I try to plan that sort of thing around the times I have shows. I have to take him out again soon anyway to someone else. They called me yesterday when I was waiting for June."
I grinned though. "They dont want him though for another month, picky people>"

He chewed quietly as he thought, nodding as he did so. "Well, Idi is a warmblood...they would make a nice foal," he said quietly, already smiling at the picture. "And they'll want him after the Games...top of his game and a gold under his belt, they will have one of the best foals around. If its a colt, well they are set for life," he chuckled and shook his head slightly. "Sad though...how some people just want that...they don't care for anything else."

Alexa Collins "I dont know about that. Makybe Diva's foals are worth over $4 million in themselves, and thats onl because she's done what only one horse before her ever did, won three melbourne Cups like Phar lap did once. Funny how both those Throrougbreds were not born here in Australia though they are national heroes. Makybe Diva's from England, Phar Lap from New Zealand." I smiled.
"In comparison to them, Prince is only worth about $1 million, if I had to put a price on him. Not that i like having to do so. His mother's an Olympian horse, and she's worth only $2 million, and she was pure Arabian."

He nodded thoughtfully, thinking of the prices in his head, not that he cared to much. "Price doesn't matter...genes do to some though..." he said quietly and smiled at his daughter "The more you win, the more he's worth..." he rolled his shoulders in a shrug and smiled. "Finished Lily?" he asked the bouncing child and she shook her head, scoffing the rest of the food. "Done!" she cried, showing him her empty plate. "Good girl, put it in the sink," he said and she nodded, curls boucing as she ran to the sink.

Alexa Collins I smiled as she moved to put her plate in the sink. Then I realised something. She was almost three already. That was something that was quite unsettling. She was growing up way too fast.
"Lily's having a birthday in a few days. Another one."
I smiled though. I loved my little girl, but all the birthdays came too soon after the one just gone for me. At least this time I would have her all the time inbeteween this one and te next.
"Lily, tell Kayson how old you're getting," I said when she came back.
"I'm nearly three."

He blinked. 3 already? "Really, your getting really old Lily," he teased her gently, picking her up and sitting her on his shoulders and smiling at Alexa. "Have you been a good girl?" he asked the child and smiled lightly. He knew her birthday was close, and had an idea in mind for her...but he needed to speak to Alexa about it first. "Go get dressed sweetie," he said, dropping her to her feet and pushing her gently towards her room.
