Pollyana Caesar I knew that I was tired but even when I tried to sleep I could not. Not for a while anyway. Where had he suddenly came from like this? I knew that sleep I was rarely in the need for unless my gift had been used. Other than that it was hard for me to get to sleep.

Fern shivered slightly, having given her his only blanket. Despite being close to the fire, it was cold, but he would never ask her to share...no he was more of a man than that. He was tense though, mind running as he thought about her. She was beautiful in her own right, her personailty was just showing yet he knew it to be strong. He was confused, everything in this world was so much harder!

Pollyana I got no sleep that night. Something about the woods kept me awake, as if I could hear the turmoil these humans were putting them through. All the people from my world could communicate with nature, but I only sensed the danger. There was something coming and as the sun brightened the trees, I got noticably tenser.
I sat up, knowing that the fact I had not slept would not show on my face. "Good morning."

He rolled over, standing. His face showed nothing of the way that he hadn't slept a wink. Nuitdor, the black mare, shifted and pulled herself to her feet, giving a sigh of relief. "Morning," he said, packing the things up quickly. He shot her a look, wondering if she would come with them. "Will you be accompaining us?" he asked, washing his face with the cold water of the stream.

Pollyana Caesar I thought about that for a moment. "There's something going on in the forest near town that I need to look into. I can sort of connect with the forest and it feels like someone's pulling trees to the ground. I cant let that go without words from me. Maybe have to use that gift of my own as well."
I sighed. It would be a big job so I'd sleep for days to recover my strength again. Not that I minded that side affect.

He nodded, taking in the saddess as she spoke. Someone was tearing down trees? "Did you wish for help?" he offered, knowing that any magic she did would tire her quickly, maybe pehaps without getting her to shelter before resting. "Nuitdor and I are more than happy to help," he added, giving the mare's nose a rub.

Pollyana Caesar I did not answer for a second as I felt one of the trees come crashing down after something hit it. I shuddered. "I could use some help, yes. This is going to be a big job for me, that much is certain. If I fall asleep though, I shall not wake for anything until my strength is back, I might warn you. Even if a volcano erupted or a tornado came through here, I would still sleep."
I would be pretty much helpless while i recovered.

Fern rolled his slender shoulders into a shrug, eyes taking in the slight girl in front of him. "It doesn't matter," he said with a grin "have you ever heard a riddle? A good one at that?" He seemed to dance in place as he whistled under his breath, remembering a riddle he had just remembered. "How can you prove that a horse has six legs?" he asked her, tucking in the last of his camp onto the mares saddle and shot her a grin.

Pollyana Caesar I thought about his riddle for a few moments and scratched my head as I thought. "How to prove a horse has six legs..."
I looked at the mare trying to work it out in my logical brain. "She or he for that matter only has six legs when they have a rider on them. Their four and the rider's two."

He chuckled and shook his head slightly. "Nay, A horse has four legs in front and two behind," he chuckled, giving the mare another pat and tightened for girth. He shot her another smile, thinking of another easier one. "Try this one," he said turning to her "A man started to town with a fox, a goose and a sack of corn. He came to a stream which he had to cross in a tiny boat. He could only take one across at a time. He could not leave the fox alone with the goose or the goose alone with the corn. How did he get them all safely over the stream?"

Pollyana Caesar "That's impossible," I said as we started moving. I was walking though, I liked walking and I could run easily for hours on end at a jog. "At least we're not far from these so called forestry workers."
I stopped again as I felt another tree screaming in protest as it was chopped down. "Down goes another."
I started to jog, hoping not many more would fall.

He jogged beside her easily, the mare trotting in silence behind them. With a sigh, knowing they needed to get there faster, he swung into Nuitdor's back, offering a hand to the girl. "Come on, this is faster," he chuckled, taking her hand and helping her swing onto the moving horse.

Pollyana Caesar I sighed as he helped me up. "You're right but i can still feel the trees around me. They're angry with these forestry people. I can still feel them..." one fell cutting my words... "falling," I finished the sentence. My head felt like it was in pain at the moment. "W're almost there, its getting harder to stand them falling."

He nodded, kicking the mare into a long fulid gallop. They past though the forest quickly, skidding to a halt as they appeared before a group of men. They paused looking at them strangely. One was wearing old fashioned clothes, a golden circlet on his head. He raised a hand, didn't seem to speak, and lifted the machines from there hands, burring them in the forest floor.

Pollyana I slipped off when we stopped, and my whole body seemed to glow with raw white power as I walked towards the men, a frown on my face. "You were wrong to do this to these trees. None of you are ever going to hurt another tree."
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?" A rather fat guy sneered.
"Exactly this!" The energy and magic exploded from me, whipping their memories of this job and removing their dilike for the woods, instead making them fond of it. The fat guy also I made want the need to diet.
I stood there for a moment. Then I looked at them for a second, and though I was still closer to Fern, I glared at the for a second before they ran for it. Then the strength went missing and I toppled to the ground.
