Lieutenant General Vasilissa Dragomir
She smiled as she looked at the pure white sand of Hateya Beach. She'd missed this place so very much. Now, seeing it once more, made her feel more at home than anything. It reminded her of the beautiful place that she fought to keep free from another lands dominion. Sure fighting had its times when there were interesting places to go, but killing other people sometimes got very hard on her.
If it was one thing she knew, she needed someone to remind her what being human and having peace was really like. For so long she had fought to maintain a good rank in the army, and though she was not thinking about leaving or anything, she just needed someone here at home to come home to really. Sometimes it got toop hard for her, returning home. There was nothing here any more. Her parents had moved out of the country once her father retired from the army.
So there was no one there for her at the moment. A rank in the army was more than just a word though. She was respected by all the men that fought by her side in other not so nice places. Soon she would be a General, but she had not quite earnt that rank yet. One day though, she would be the one in her father's old place. A thing she strived towards getting. Though she had no house, instead she lived in a little private room of her own on the base. She did not need a real house for herself at the moment, being away so much of the year.
She sighed, reaching up and restraining an errant strand of light brown hair back from her face. Her lightly tanned skin was hard and strong from years of working in the sun, but you would not call her sunburned at the moment. It was not the same thing really. Her skin though not completely brown, had a tinge of pink to it, though brown was the main colour there. Her brown eyes sparkled as she stared out at the ocean, remembering a time when she had surfed there like the few she could see out in the water right now.
So many memories of good times. She had left school early, finishing her last years of schooling while training in the army. She knew that there were things that she had almost missed out on, like the Prom nights and things, but she had managed to make it to those, even with her army heritage. She was smart, and she knew that. You had to be, if you were in this army. Some of the greatest champions here were extremely smart. It was a needed thing if you wanted to survive out there on the field.
