Erviin
Her eyes flashed again, and her head turned almost inhumanely to look at him again. Her voice, when she spoke, seemed to be a bit of a lighter, older tone. "Don't worry, Rudi, I won't hurt you." Even she seemed a bit startled by the voice, and her gaze dropped as they walked under the trees. The tree sprites... A smile came across her face and she laughed giddily. She'd never had a tree sprite use her to speak before, and it was an honor to be used as such! It meant you were truly one with nature, something she had recently strived to be. Her face was beaming as she looked at him. Apparently his name is Rudi... She looked away again before she spoke again, picking her way carefully through the forest. "My sister wouldn't hurt you unless you hurt me. Besides, she doesn't need to attack you physically, she can just turn you into a toad." She giggled at the thought of him being turned into a toad, her mind still getting used to the acceptance of the forest. It also meant, however, that she could never leave here, even if she was cured of her anger. She looked at him again, sheepishly this time. What was he thinking about?

I raised one eyebrow at the comment about turning me into a toad. "Umm... no thanks." Sounded just the littlest bit wierd to me. I sighed though as I followed her.
"You have a verty different voice just them. A rather beautiful one too when you spoke before. I don't think I told you my name though, but now you know it. Rudi is certainly my name."
How had she found out? What was going on here? What ever it was I did not really care. "I can't stay out here all that long, lots of things to do at the moment. Too much really in the amount of time I have been back here."
I smiled though. "I've got time for a short walk I suppose."

Erviin
"The trees know everything about those who enter." She said, again in that ancient soft voice in regards to his thought. The trees could see his question on his face, and were using Erviin as their voice. The tree sprites were certainly using her now; and it was a thrill. It sent a shiver up her spine though, afraid of what may happen to her. Would she be changed forever? She knew she'd never be able to leave the forest-it would anger the tree sprites. She had to stay here. The trees like Rudi though... She thought, looking back to him. Her voice was still soft, hushed almost; but it did not hold that ancient tone in it. "Do you have a girlfriend? You know-back home, in the material world?" She hoped the answer was no. If the tree sprites were willing to converse with him, then perhaps he could break her curse.

"Well not in the sense of someone actually likeing me, no. I have not had much time of late to find someone I liked." Not that it mattered truly to me. Though I knew that I was certainly attracted to her, even though she had tried to kill me, but that was alwaread forgiven in my own mind. I was sure she would be glad about that.
I smiled at her as she spoke again with that stranger voice that I did not expect. "Do they really? I guess all these trees know what I do for a living then, and everything else?"
I sighed. "Then again maybe its a good thing i do not have a girlfreind really, they wouldn't get to see much of me. Its not often that I am back here, you know. Though if there was one girl in this world who understood that, maybe I would give it a try."

Erviin
Her ears atuned to the sound of the creek up ahead, and she knew they were getting close to the waterfall. It was hidden, her sanctuary. She looked to him and then looked back ahead, shifting her course and going toward the sanctuary. If she had to kill him later, at least she had given her sister's advice a try and shown him something special. She stopped mid step though, turning to look at him for his last wordings. "But alone time is the best of times! I could never leave my forest, not for all the material goods in the world. It needs me now, now that it trusts me." Her body seemed to shiver as she turned around again, the tree sprites using her as their voice once more. The voice sounded a little angry this time. "You fight wars, you scar the land, but as you stand, you kill worse polluters. Wage no war on these woods, raise no ax to our trees, and we will do our best to grant you protection." Erviin swayed a bit from the use of her body this time, leaning up against one of the trees to steady herself. The trees using her to speak seemed to be draining her. A good night's sleep will do. I'll be fine. She tried to reassure herself, but she was afraid that it would be no good. She would talk to the tree sprites later, try to figure out what was wrong with her. For now they had to converse with Rudi, and she would not stop them from doing so. She tried to pretend like it was nothing, and moved off again, toward the sound of the water.

I thought for a moment as I tried to figure out the meaning behind the tree's warnings. "It is true that i fight in wars, but only to keep this land safe. There are people out there that would love to gain control of this land. If they did there is is little i could do to keep them from attacking the woods."
I smiled though. " I will not harm the trees, I am not that sort of a person." Though I was a strong fighter, there was no doubt in my mind that there was no chance of being able to keep from being destroyed by the woods.
I looked over at her again. "Is there a waterfall ahead?"

Erviin
She smiled weakly, wondering if he was talking to her or talking to the trees through her. It was not an ideal meeting of any sort-her having tried to kill him and now him falling in love with the voices of the trees and not her. Her voice was strained and quieter still as she spoke again, fighting to stay awake as she walked along. The trees had used her for what they needed for now, they would return to comfort her when Rudi left. "Y-yes." Was all she managed to squeak out. Even she who knew these woods like the back of her own hand stumbled over a root as the roaring of the falls grew louder.
It was a few more minutes before they were at the entrance of the tunnel that led to the falls. She was too tired now to turn back. She took one look at Rudi, and then disappeared down the tunnel. The waterfall echoed through the tunnel, and then it opened up into a beautiful green meadow. She smiled as she entered her home, forgetting for the moment that Rudi was even there. She stripped herself down and dove into the pool of water.

The muscles carried him after her easily, there was no chance of him tiring any time soon. Gone were the days when excersise like this tired him quickly. he could move all day and not be tired. He only tired on the battle field.
He smiled though as he saw the waterfall, not watchign her for the moment. "Wow."

She was pulled out of her daydream momentarily by his exclamation. She turned and squealed when she saw him, quickly darting up the tree with the grace of a squirrel and sitting perched up on one of the leafy branches, peering down at him. "What are you doing here!" She squealed, her body swooning and nearly falling out of the tree. Luckily she managed to steady herself before she fell, but not before she slipped and gashed open her arm pretty bad. She howled out like a coyote and grabbed her foot, hissing at the tree thgat had bit her; hurt that the tree had suddenly turned against her.

"You showed me the way here..." I trailed off when she yelped. I saw what had happened and that cut looked bad. I moved towards her slowly. "If you want, I could clean that up for you." I glanced at the tree hoping it was not going to try and lash out at me. I was not one for that sort of thing.

Erviin
She squealed, huddling up to her tree rather than letting her naked self be seen by the boy. Even if he claims she led him here, the forest would not approve of her consorting naked with a boy. No-it wouldn't approve at all. It would most likely through her out-something she did not desire. Even if she was bleeding, her blood spilled on the tree sap would bond them, back them blood sisters under the sun. That was definately something she desired. She hugged the tree limb, but she felt her limps drain of their energy. "Please don't, please don't..."

I backed away from the girl, not sure that I was wanted here. This did not seem to be what she wanted, though she had brought me here.
"Okay... I might go then."
I sighed, turning and heading towards the tunnel. Didn't take me long to get out into the normal forest.
I did not think she wanted me there at the moment and because of that I would leave the forest for now. I started to jog back towards the car.

There was a loud crash behind him as the girl fell from the tree, but she seemed to land unharmed. She watched as he left, though did not stop him. The trees would get angry with her if she had followed him anyway...She slipped back into the pool, rubbing her bleeding foot.
Flora
Her eyes were green-the color of the trees, and she had spotted him the minute Erviin had brought him back into the woods. She had been watching him for a while now, watching him run. It was forbidden for her to fall in love with a mortal, but with forbidden always came the law breakers. It had been centuries since she had joined the trees and become one of the sprites, and now she longed for a man to keep her warm. She had heard Erviin talking to herself; it was really all Erviin's doing that Flora had begun to long for the touch of a man, and with Rudi here every so often, Flora had become fixated on him. Now that the trees had granted him passage and spoken with him, Flora knew she did not have long before the other forest sprites tried to take him for themselves-they'd all been listening to Erviin's stories of men. She didn't need to jump out of the tree she was sitting in, she simply melded into it and walked out of its base, standing about a hundred feet in front of Rudi. She turned, looking toward him, seeing if he'd even pause in his jog to speak with her.

Rudi He continued to jog in the direction he knew he had left his care in. There was not much here in the forest that he truly cared about, but he knew that there were others that would care for this forest a lot more than he himself did.
It was not the easiest of things to think about. She had been pretty, he knew that much. But she was not the one for him. Clearly she had not really had any interest in him at all. Not after that reaction in that little clearing with the beautiful old waterfall.
Then he paused, hearing someone moving nearby. This was something he had not expected. Was it another one of these strange tree dwellers? He stopped though, when he saw her. She seemed even more beautiful than the girl that had caugth his attention before. Maybe she might be the one for him?
There was only one way to find out. He moved towards her, slowly, not wanting to startle her. "Hello."

Flora
She looked to his eyes, trying to read him. He seemed almost perturbed by Erviin's reaction. "She's brokenhearted, few of us can even get through to her. You did better than most, Rudi." She smiled, not really caring to explain herself before having a thought. Erviin said she had thought the fiancee was the right one because of the spark she felt when they first kissed. And so, Flora leaned up and kissed him gently, feeling no bolt of lightning hitting her-but there was definately something there. She smiled, and extended her hand to take his. "I am Flora, a tree sprite."
