His eyes threanted to spill the tears that began to gather, the pureness and rememberance of her words as enough for him. If only she remember him, and the things they had once shared.
"Yes we did sweetheart," he whispered in reply to her first question. His green eyes closed, listening to the words of the first poem. It was the first one he had ever read, the first one written by her hand. He laughed and nodded, eyes flashing open. "Yes..you lost your hat and I chased after it," he smiled at the memory "and gave it back to you..and the raven..Poe, was there."
He raised a hand to her face, gently caressing her cheek as she spoke the words of the second poem. The one he had written to her that night, drawn her back to the forest. She kissed him, the biggest suprise of the night for him, and he replied with the same gently pressure. "And I love you..if you'll have me," he said. If he had to, he would get her to fall in love with him again. He wouldn't stop until he had done it.
He looked up at the sky, green orbs searching for the raven who had done this for them, but he was no where to be seen. "Thank you Poe," he whispered and looked back down at Abby.

Abigail
Her mind was reeling-after all, she had just remembered several weeks worth of activity in the matter of minutes, and it was certainly a rush to the head. She looked around at all the people beginning to stare at her and Lee sitting there in the door way conversing with a raven. "Fruit Loops!" She exclaimed, looking to Lee with that innocent glean that had been in Kayleen's eyes. "I promised Poe that night in the forest that I'd buy him a box of fruit loops." She gave a childish grin and stood, dusting herself off. Something dropped from the crumbled paper when she picked it up. She looked down at the thing laying on the ground, staring in aw. It was a ring from her mother's jewelry box-the ring Abigail had always played with when she was a kid. It wasn't anything special, just a silver band with etching on it. She stared longingly at it, but was almost afraid to pick it up, fearing that memories she didn't want to remember would come flooding back with it. Not all who wander are lost... It said, wrapped around the inside of the band. She glanced to the sky, watching for Poe. He'll come back for the fruit loops...

He looked at her in awe, amazed how quickly she had recovered and become her old self. "Fruit loops?" he asked and smiled as she explained.
She looked at the ground, so he followed her gaze and noticed the ring as she picked it up and he took it gently from her. "My miss Abby Lee," he said quietly "though we just met again for hopefully a long time....would you marry me?" He looked over at the supermarket and shook his head slightly, maybe he should of waited until a more romantic time. "And allow me to be apart of our daughters life?"

She gulped, staring down at the man kneeling at her feet holding her mother's ring out. It wasn't like she didn't already know what was in her past-she was faking herself out if she thought her full past could be hidden. Just the last two years were fuzzy, not the chaos of her childhood. She smiled down to him, tears in her eyes. She remembered the part of the past she didn't want to remember, but she couldn't remember the best thing that had ever happened to her. "Yes, yes Lee. I'll marry you, and we'll raise our daughter together." She smiled and couldn't help but laugh, though the tears still streamed down her cheeks. "And we'll have two more kids, and name them Prophyria and Poe." She smiled. Though surely she would like more kids with Lee, she'd rather get those fruit loops first.

He slipped the ring into her finger and stood, pulling her into a warm hug and kissed her gently. "If that is what you want," he said and kissed her again "then thats what you will get." He pulled away, letting his hand drop she he held hands with her instead and smiled slightly. "Let us go find our daughter?" he asked, happy for the first time in a long time.

She smiled meekly as she stared into those beautiful green eyes, remembering how she had longed to keep them in a jar that day in the forest. She'd keep having kids with him until they had a kid with his beautiful green eyes to go make more beautiful green eyed babies, since it appeared Lee was stuck with her for the rest of his life. "Kara might know how to weild a knife and threaten, but she's a caring mother...sister...aunt? She'll take care of her. Right now we need to go get fruit loops for Poe." She squeezed his hand gently, then started tugging him toward the cereal aisle. There was so much catching up to do. She understood that he wanted to be around his daughter, but what about catching up with her first? It's exciting! He knows you, he doesn't know his daughter... She thought, and she looked back to him and smiled. "She'd like Poe. And she likes feeding birds. She'll like the fruit loops idea..."

He laughed and gave her hand a gently squease, following her willing towards the isle of the supermarket. "Fruit loops then," he grinned, letting her lead the way for he could not stop from flickering to her beautiful face every few moments.
"Tell me about her," he said as they looked though the cerel. "She is what? One almost?" He paused, picturing the delightful child in his mind. "What should a father know about their child..." he mused, suddenly new to this.

She smiled, realizing that it would be the first time she greeted Kaylen as her mother and not her aunt. She scanned the aisles for the toucan and smiled wider as Lee mused aloud about their daughter. "She's nearly eleven months. She can talk some, though mostly jibberish-but that's just because that's what you and I do. She likes picture books, but she's happiest when someone's reading poems to her. She likes oldies rock-the old folk songs of Simon and Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, and James Taylor. She likes her hair best in pigtails, though she'll do with a ponytail now and again. She has to have everything in pink. EVERYTHING. Dress her in another color and she'll try to bite you. She's very mouthy, and she manages to bite pretty hard even though she doesn't have all her teeth. She prefers fruit loops to cheerios, but we're getting Poe his own box." She beemed and turned and kissed Lee gently, spotting the Toucan over his shoulder. "Fruit Loops!" She grinned and grabbed the last two remaining boxes, pulling him toward the checkout registers. She paused though, before the end of the cereal aisle, and turned to him again. "Let's go home and try for another, then you'll know and not have to ask me about it's quirks!" She smiled and kissed him again, pausing to think for a second. Where was home going to be now? She couldn't keep living with her sister. No, her sister needed a life of her own. Lee had his sister that he probably lived with. What were they going to do? She pulled him toward the check out counter to the shortest line, and looked back over her shoulder at him, wondering what he was thinking about.

He listened to her flurry of words, remembering from the years before when she did the same thing. It amazed him, how quickly they had already fallen back together. God! He had just found her again. He knew had a daughter and was getting married. He couldn't wait to meet his daughter properly, as well as Abby.
He followed her with a smile, feeling younger as she hoped around the place. Another? Another what? Child? How could you say no to her? "Okay," he said quietly and kissed her again and they walked together towards the counter. "I have a house," he told her, noting the worry in her eyes and guessed the reason behind it.

As they got up to the cashier, without thinking she pulled out her wallet and paid. Most of it was her sister's money anyway-her sister had the job, Abby was just supposed to watch Kaylen. Her sister wouldn't mind though. Her sister would probably miss the screaming brat. "What about your sister? Doesn't she live with you?" She said, staring at the bills as she counted them out. They had milk back at her place, where Kaylen would be. She smiled to the cashier, and pulled Lee along so they wouldn't get stared at by the other people around, clutching tight the bag of fruitloops.

He frowned at the mention of his sister, for he hadn't seen her in a while. "She was..." he said slowly "but she's to busy sleeping around to come home very often." "I think she moved out," he shrugged, now understanding that he had no way to look after his sister now. If she asked for help, he would give it. But until that day, she was elsewhere. "I'll show you my house...its a little messy though as I only just moved in," he explained as they walked outside of the store and looked around her Kaylen.

She frowned. Kara had been that way for a bit, she hadn't stayed at home much. Back when she was involved with the drug dealers...but now she was home at night, having had to take care of Abigail and Kaylen. What was she going to do if they moved out? She shrugged. She couldn't help but giggle as he explained his messy house. "I've lived with three brothers my whole life, your house could not possibly be anywhere near as bad." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek, though noticed he was still looking around for Kaylen. Her heart dropped a little. He seemed more intent on his daughter than his lost love, and it kind of hurt. Even if she didn't remember all of it, she knew she loved him. Her gaze dropped to the ground. "Lee, she's with my sister. My sister won't do anything to her. She's fine for now..." Her voice trailed off, her voice choking on the words she wanted to add on the end, I'm not. She'd been with Kaylen for the past year, not even remembering who Lee was. All Lee seemed to want to do was be around Kaylen. She wasn't going to change in a day. Considering what Abby had already been through today, she might.

He looked down at her, finally noting the saddness in her eyes and sighed, kissing her cheek. "Sorry love," he said, knowing he wasn't being fair. "Do you think Kara could look after her?" he asked "so we can spend the night together?" He gave her hand a squease and rose an eyebrow and waited for a responce.

Her eyes lit up a bit when he asked, but she knew that then that wouldn't be fair to him. She had been blissfully ignorant to his existance until now, he had worried about her and now he was sprung with the fact that they had a daughter together. "S-She could, but then it wouldn't be fair to you. I-I'm sorry. I'm being selfish." She squeezed his hand again, not knowing what else to say or do. Poe was fluttering over head having smelled the fruit loops, and Abby looked up to the beating of wings. Seeing that the sun was about to set, she grinned. "Kaylen will need to go to bed soon. Let's go spend the time with her, then we could go over to your place and get up early and go wake her up." She looked to Lee with a smile, her eyes brighter again. She could make him happy and herself happy this way.

He smiled slightly, wrapping an arm around her slight shoulders. "If that is what you wish," he said, happy with either way. "I just..want you to be happy." He kissed her lightly and looked over at the fountain in the middle of the shopping center.
He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close into her side as they started to walk again. "Come, lets head home.." he said "see your new home and help me unpack for a bit?"
