Deviin
So I was a wiccan high priestess. I could put hexs on people. I could supposedly turn you into a frog, but why did that matter? Why did that scare people-just because I was a little different from your average religion? And especially why did the bastard run off with my sister's mind?
She sat down at the bar, glaring at the bouncer. He could tell she wasn't someone to mess with, so he backed off. Generally people saw that medallion she wore and did so. It wasn't even really of the wiccan religion, but if they'd heard of Deviin, they thought the medallion was where she drew her power. People will believe anything. She rolled her eyes and looked at the bartender. "Hit me with whatever you got." The bartender shied away a little, then poured her a shot of rum. "Dude, just give me the dang bottle. Otherwise you're going to be standing there a while." He complied, not wanting to be in her presence any longer than he had too. She gulped the shot and then started swigging from the bottle.

He slid into the seat beside her, ignoring the weird looks others were giving her. She didn't seem any different from the others, maybe a slight aditude but he liked that in a woman.
"Beer," he ordered, taking it as it slopped onto the barmat and threw his head back, drinking it quickly. He was a good drinker, he could drink anything and still seem completely sober. But, he could act a good drunk.
His green eyes roamed to his left, taking in the woman beside him. "Kalen," he said, turning slightly to face her.

Deviin
She looked at him out of the corner of her eyes as she swilled down the rum. She didn't get drunk. Period. It was just her body chemistry, or maybe there really was something supernatural to her-but she didn't get drunk. She drank four bottles of rum and walked out of there strutting like it was Sunday Mass-which she'd never gone to anyway. His green eyes amazed her though, and she couldn't help but let a grin tug at the corner of her mouth. "Deviin, what's it to you?" He swilled down his beer rather quickly, but beer was for sissys. She took another swig from her bottle of rum, turning to him. "How much can you drink, I wonder?"

He grinned, placing the bottle back down and flicked a wrist to the bartender who gave him the same as Deviin was having. "To bloody much," he said with a wink, lifting the rum bottle in cheers and threw back half the bottle in a sitting. "How about you? Deviin?" he asked, looking her over as a man might once of done an animal. She certainly had the curves in all the right places, enough to be appreciated by men. And she showed it well, with confidence. He liked that in her, and her spark that drew him to her.

Deviin She could never turn down a challenge, especially not when it was a man sizing her up like a piece of meat. Erviin, had she been in her right mind, would never approve of this. Nor would the sisters of the coven, but they didn't have to deal with her crazy sister thinking she was the protector of the wilds. "Watch and learn, kiddo." Her bottle was about three quarters full. And in about two minutes, it was empty. And then, with a grin, she leaned in and kissed him gently as a diversion to steal his bottle. Her lips were tender, uncharted by another mans before. She grinned and bit at his lips before leaning back in the chair and swilling down the rest of his bottle too. "Satisfied, or should I school you a little more?"

Kalen grinned, watching her down the bottle as easily as any man. "Bravo," he said with a mocking clap, going to take another swig of his drink, only to find her lips aginst his. They were soft, persistant and tender against his own. He felt himself drift for a moment, and then the pain as he bit his tounge. "Devious," he growled, watching her drown his bottle and ordered another for himself. "Maybe you could school me with something else?" he asked with a suggesting waggle of his eyebrow.

"Oh, we're there all ready? I'm sorry love, I'm not drunk enough to be that easy." She rolled her eyes, and the bartender scurried off to get her another bottle of rum, only to find that he'd given the last one to Kalen. He gulped and looked back to Deviin, who simply smiled sweetly. "Jose Quervo." She stated, knowing exactly what she wanted. The bartender scurried off to the back to get the bottle, and Deviin turned to look at Kalen. He wasn't a pretty boy, but he wasn't some rough and tumble guy. The bartender set the bottle in front of her. "So, Kalen, what's your story?"

He shrugged, not really caring yet and took another swing from his bottle. "Ran away from home at 11, started a pub and cafe," he grinned "killed a few people, threatened a few more..you know, the usual." "What about you, Deviin, you got some hippie shit going to scare away all these people?" he asked with a gesture towards the bartender and others.

Deviin couldn't help but laugh at his remark, eyes looking around at all the people that seemed to shy away from her look even. Her gaze landed back on Kalen, who did not shy nor seem to car. He was certainly an interesting character, and the fact that he didn't react to her intrigued her. "My sister and I were abandoned as kids and taken by a coven of witches. My sister's now a tree hugging idiot that runs around naked in the forest, while I'm a high priestess. Word gets around that you can supposedly turn someone into a toad, people flip out-but they're too afraid to burn me at the stake."

He burst into a roar of laughter, throwing his head back. "Ah," he said pretending to wipe his eyes "priceless." Idiotic he might seem, he was rarely afraid of something as simple as a 'witch'. He sipped at the rum, swirling it in his mouth before swallowing and eyed her once more. "So, turned anyone into a toad as of late?" he asked "or maybe a tree?"

Deviin's eyes flashed as he made his comment about the tree. If he was making fun of her tree hugging sister, he'd picked the wrong time to do it. She had liquor in her, which even though it didn't mess with her thought process or coordination-it made her even more protective of her sister. She growled deep within her throat as she turned to him, eyes blazing with a new fire. A smirk crossed her features as she raised her hands, cupping them together. She muttered under her breath, and smoke begin rising from his shirt, soon becoming a full blaze. "Want to say that last bit again, sweetheart? I could just rearrange your neural passageways and make your head explode."

He blinked in suprise, having no idea what she was going on about, but he found himself slightly turned on by her short temper and firey hot looks. "Hey sweetcheeks," he said holding his hands up "didn't mean no one any offence." He gestured towards the bartendered, ordering her another of whatever she was drinking with a flick of his finger.
He sniffed the air, noticing something smelled like smoke and his eyes began to water. He jumped to his feet, smacking his chest to try and put the flames out. "Your crazy!" he yelled, grabbing a glass of water and threw it on his chest only to find out it was rum.

And so, he became one of the peanut gallery. She couldn't help but let a spout of dark laughter erupt from her lips. She muttered words under her breath and clapped her head, the fire and rum stain on his shirt disappearing. She grinned innocently, turning back to the bartender and smiling innocently at him as he gave her another bottle of Jose Quervo. She took it and sipped at it as if nothing had happened-as if it was an appletini and not a bottle of Jose Quervo. "So, peanut gallery boy, do you believe me now when I say don't fuck with me?"

His eyes widened and he slowly stopped in his crazy pattern of swearing and patting the flames. He flicked a finger at the bartender once more, taking a heavy swig of a drink before replying. "Yeah," he muttered "what the hell did I even do." He didn't look at her, but not really scared of her. He? Scared of a woman? Ha! The mere thought made him chuckle, but he quickly shut it up before she thought he was thinking something else.
His gaze flickered to her, and he sighed. Why was it..that powerful woman always seemed so much more sexy? He didn't care for the witchy shit, and it wasn't like he planned on doing anything other then bedding her. Maybe...if she didn't set his balls on fire as well.

Deviin couldn't help but let the smile come across her face. She'd turned a skeptic into a believer, though she'd probably lost his interest now. Not like she cared much-she had to fix her sister before she could have a relationship with anyone anyway. She stared down at the counter, mulling her sister over in her mind. His words came to her, but she ignored them for a moment while she thought about her sister; wondering what became of the poor man she had been trying to kill when Deviin had stopped her. Men were foolish creatures, few seemed to really know the outside world. They wanted to believe they were all powerful. She growled under her breath, taking a swig of the Jose Quervo and then looking at the boy who sat next to her again. "You said tree in a mocking tone after I mentioned my sister being a tree hugging idiot. No one makes fun of my sister except for me."
