Alexa Collins I knew that many things had to be done as we moved up to the apartment. So much to do and only so much time to do it before we left for China.
"I better call my Chinese freind... Let her know that I'm coming her way to Beijing."
Yes, Yi Xian would love that. It had been over a hear since we had last seen each other. She loved horses as much as I did. There was no chance she would let this opportunity to see me go by.

He dipped his head, carrying her bag and placing it onto the counter. He smiled, wondering if she knew that he spoke Chinese, despite that he was doing a chinese based course. He ran a hand though his hair, leaning against the kitchen table and pulled her to lean back against him and handed her the phone. "Call her," he said with a smile, kissing her cheek gently.
He had heard many things about her Chinese friend, and wondered if they would meet when they went to the games.

Alexa Collins
I smiled as I leaned against him. What had i done to deserve such a nice guy? Who knew but God?
I dialed the number and waited for someone to answer.
Someone picked up, a female voice, "Ni hao, Yi Aiemie. Ni hao, shie a?"
I sighed, figuring out what that meant in my head. She'd taught me basic Chinese. "Wo shi, Alexa," I replied a little uncertain of my language. This was going to be difficult. "Ni you hao si ni de."
She laughed. "xihuan shenme."
"Ni shi qing jin Beijing."
She gasped.

Kayson. James. King. He chuckled, kissing her hair as she spoke somewhat badly to her chinese friend. He made a note to improve her language, knowing she would enjoy it. "Na jinnian zhangfu," he coached quietly into her other ear, smiling at the words and played with her hair as he listened to her quietly. He was excited for her, wishing that the cancer had not happened and she would be proud at the level she was at. Not to say she wasn't...but in a way, the cancer had taught them a lesson. Take care of what you have...for you never know how long it might last.

Alexa
"Na jinnian zhangfu," I said for him. I had been awfully rusty when it came to Mandarin. I was embarrassed by that. "We're coming to Beijing for the Olympics," I added.
"Really? As spectators?"
"No, I'm competing," I laughed. "Equestrian's my event. Thought I might call you to let you know that I am coming that way."
"You're married? Since when?"
"Not quite... That's happening soon, but I do have a ring," I replied.
She chuckled. "Cant wait to see you. If you want you can come stay with us. I'm sure my husband, John, though his real name is Yuehan wont mind. When are you coming."
"In about a week?"
"Yay. See you soon."
"Yeah see you, Amy."

He chuckled, kissing the top of her head as she hanged up. "What did she say?" he asked, leading her to the table and holding her hand as they sat.
He liked this, simply sitting with her and holding her hand. It was simple affection like this that made him smile and remember why he loved her. "When do we need to head up?" he asked her, taking the phone from her, thinking it best to get flight tickets now.

Alexa Collins. "We're all meant to be over there in a week. Also Amy agreed to us staying with her, she said she'll look after us. More she wants to return the favour I once gave her in highschool. I was her home stay person. She misses me a bit. And she cant wait to meet you either, by the way."
I grinned. "She said to tell her when we were leaving from here and that they would pick us up."

Kayson. James. King. "Ok...I'll try and get tickets for Monday?" he asked, dialing on the phone. "That gives you some time to heal..and work with Prince...how do you normally get him there? Plane or boat?" he asked, pausing for a moment and pressed talk. Smiling at her as it rang, he sighed as it came back as engaged. "I'll try again in a moment...try your sister again," he said, wondering if they wanted to come. He sighed as he remembered something. "I might have to come over later.." he cursed "I don't have a passport."

Alexa Collins I smiled at him, taking the phone. He knew I loved him more than anything else in the world, and that was all that really mattered. I pulled my phone out of my pocket. "She'll reply when she gets out from work. Always does. Give her a few hours."
"As for tickets, thats already being arranged by the people who chose the competitors." I paused. "Should get a package today from them actually."
It had all the thigns I would need in it."

He nodded but wondered if that included him. "Yes..but does that include me?" he asked and sighed, knowing he had to tell her now. "Alexa, I think its about time I told you a few other things about me...I should of told you a while ago, but I didn't want to love me for the wrong reasons..." he said slowly, standing and walking into his room, searching for his desk for something. He gestured for her to sit on his bed before continuning his search.
His past, his whole past...he had to share it with her. Not all of it was nice, but she needed to understand and know the full story.

Alexa Collins "Yeah it will include you. I know that much." I grinned at him. "There was no chance i would have let you have to pay for yourself if that was not true. You do not know how stubborn i really can be at times."
I followed him though into his room, knowing there were things I likely did not know about him. Plus I would easily hear him out. "What did you want to tell me?" I sat down next to him. There was nothing that he could say that would scare me off.

He closed to draw, remembering where it was and knew that he could get it later. "Well...you have most likely guessed that I have a lot of money..." he said with a sigh, hating the fact that he was known as the 'richest man in town'. "But...I have two things to tell you....how I am rich and something completely off topic..." he said, running a hand though his hair and tried to oganize his thoughts. "First...please promise me that you will listen, and not judge me on what I say today," he said, gazing into her eyes and begged her in silence.

Alexa Collins "You should know me well enough that you'd know I am not a judgmental person. Nothing you can possibly tell me will change anything."
I smiled at him. "And yes, I kinda figured that one out."
I laugehd.

Kayson. James. King. He smiled and chuckled lightly with her, though it didn't quiet reach his eyes and that was not normal for him. It was clear he was really worried. He shut his green eyes, thinking where to start.
"When I turned 16...my father died on my birthday from cancer as you already know. My mother soon followed, dying from a broken heart," he started, opening his eyes. "But before this happened...she turned to John, a close male friend and they got married...I had no reason to dislike him, he was a nice man and treated her right..." he stared at her and sighed. "But after they got married, he turned violent and spent all our money on smokes, drugs, drinks and cars....pretty much leaving us with nothing."
He sighed, looking at his hands before continuing. "I kicked him out...refusing to let him back in and finally my mother knew she had done wrong. She became depressed and died, missing father..." he smiled sadly at Alexa "I wish you could of met her, you would of got along well..."
"So, it was my sister and I," he said, shutting his eyes once more and refusing to show emotion. He rarely spoke of his past, and Alexa would know of that. He only worried for others and rarely himself. "When I turned 17, my sister found out she had cancer, there was no treatment...she was only 13," he said sadly "and I did my best to look after her, but soon she also died."
He looked up once more, smiling a tearless smile at her. "For the past three years, I have been alone....and I am rich because I found a ticket in my mothers draws...it was a lotto ticket and she had won the jackpot. The largest amount one by a single person in over 30 years." he sighed, knowing what he was about to admit was the hardest. It hadn't really been him. "I cashed it in, being young and stupid I spent it on little things. Most night I drunk myself into slumber, a string of one night stands..." he said, taking her hand gently hoping she would understand. "I...met a girl...Lily was her name I think...and by acdient had a child with her...despite being a drunk and a young idiot, I did the right thing and looked after them both....but they died two years back in a car crash..."
He looked at her, sighing slightly. "I didn't love her, no...but I knew I had done wrong and looked after her well. I stopped drinking, instead buying shares and getting back the money I had lost...and met you..."
What would she say?

Alexa Collins I sat there listening through the whole story, not interrupting. I did not want himt o stop i coudl tell it was hard for him to say some of the things. Instead I waited until the end of what he said.
"Its a pity about your family," I said, wrapping one arm around him. "And about Lily. Don't worry about that one though, I'm not jealous at all. You just did not know what you were doing at the time."
I paused.
"So you like the share market do you?" I smiled at that one. :My dad taught me once how that worked."
